'MAKING THE CONNECTION' how to get more from your Family History Saturday 10th May 2008 This is a FREE EVENT - Drop in between 10.00am and 3.00pm Just beginning your family history research? Or perhaps you have made a start and need to know where you go next? Whatever your experience and wherever your ancestors came from - this event is for you. Get one-to-one help and advice from members of the Berkshire Family History Society, staff from the Berkshire Record Office and historians from the Wokingham History Group. Informal learning sessions (45 minutes) run during the day, covering 'How to start your research', 'How to find and use certificates' and 'How to make sense of a census'. You can book your place at the event for any session. Plus demonstrations, bookstall and free charts and materials. Family history...social history...local history - it's how you make the connections that count.
