From Kitchen Table to Conference Table

This online exhibition will follow the progress of women from the private sphere to the public sphere through their politicisation, using a time line and case studies showcasing the holdings of the three contributing institutions. Learn about the Co-op Women's Guild; Women, the Vote and Labour; how the 1984/5 Miners Strike affected women; and see how much you could buy with a woman clerk's wages in 1922.
